Happy 55th Anniversary Disneyland!

So today I went to Disneyland. July 17th. Now for those of you who don't know, that's the day that Disneyland opened back in 1955. So the reason I went today was specifically to see the 55th Anniversary celebration. I didn't even go on any rides. Well, this is the first time I have gone to Disneyland on one of the actual anniversary days and I am SO glad that I went. It was worth every bit of traffic I had to fight thru to get there. So during the morning, they had a ceremony that had confetti and doves and the whole nine yards. Sadly, I only caught the tail end of that. I heard it was hectic, but it was good. Then I stood in line to get 55 Merchandise. Believe it or not I stood in line for pretty much two hours for a popcorn thingie, and a Mickey Hat. It's a special one because it has the date. Then after that I got a frozen lemonade with Vanilla. You wouldn't even believe how hot it is there. Next week I'll be hotter when I go to AZ, but still, for California I was surprised by the heat. I was seriously sweating the whole time. It was gross. Then I went into the Cinema Theatre on Main Street where they would normally show old Mickey cartoons. But today they started showing videos of the opening day of Disneyland. It was actually pretty neat. Then I watched Celebrate: A Street Party with some very nice gay people that I met while I was in line for merchandise. I also made friends with a cast member from Florida while I was in that line. After the street party I stayed around Main Street. Then at 4:15 they had another ceremony. 4:15 was when Walt Disney made his opening day speech at Disneyland. Well, all over the entire park they played music for us all to sing Happy Birthday to Disneyland. Then my favorite part of the whole day. A BUNCH of cast members (Disneyland employees) and 55 different Disney characters came out and did a whole song and dance number around town square (the area of Main Street around the flag pole). What I loved the most about it was the cast members. Some of them were really heavy-set and some were pretty old, but all of them did their very best to do the dance simply to entertain us. I definitely watched cast members who didn't do it perfectly but it touched my heart to watch them out there doing that simply to make me (and other people at the park) have a special day. It literally brought me to tears. After that, the 55 characters stayed out and signed autographs and did pictures. Not very long though. Like ten minutes. I was REALLY lucky to get a picture with Beast from Beauty and the Beast. I was the last person to get a good picture with him. I haven't seen Beast in the park to take pictures with since 1991. Then I saw the President of Disneyland and he signed my map. I also saw Garrett, a guy I normally only see at New Years and then I saw Susan who is a huge Disney fan. It was nice to see old friends. It was seriously such a good day. The only thing that could've made it better is to have Danielle there. I miss her. But seriously, a wonderful day. Happy 55th Disneyland. Thank you for all the happiness and thank you cast members for all you do!

Livin' in a Lonely World

So, this morning Danielle left for Arizona. I hate it when she leaves. It honestly hurts. I just keep thinking of times when we laugh together and it makes me so sad to not be with her. But I don't think her leaving me would be so painful if I weren't so lonely. San Diego really hasn't been kind to me since I graduated high school. I'm almost in the exact same spot I was when Mitchell, Luke, Jill and Dora left me for college. I'm very alone. I wasted 4 years working for The Body Shop and don't have one true friend to show for it. I'm on year 3 at Starbucks and I still have problems getting my co-workers to hang out with me. Lee hangs out with me when I call him, but he's got a busy life of his own. Jack, who is my favorite person to work with literally never hangs out to me. Apparently living in the suburbs is just to inconvenient for people. For a good amount of time, Brian was my best San Diego friend. I mean, shit, he lives 4 streets away. But now we're not talking. We're not talking because he doesn't listen. I tried very hard with him, to try to get him down the right path and not date a girl who's bad for him. Now this is the 3rd time they've gotten together I believe and I'm absolutely sick of it. I absolutely helped this kid the first time that couple fell apart. I showed him how to have a good time without girls. But now he's being an ungrateful little prick and I hope somebody castrates him. I miss the good times we had but now it's all in the past. But it leaves me in an awful place. I'm really alone. My married sister is having fun with her husband and daughter. Nobody lives here. I feel like I'm getting lost all over again. I tried to sign up for college classes but it wasn't letting me so I don't even know what I'm going to do. I guess we'll see. Say some prayers for me.
